Taliva Energy signs agreement with Jinko ESS for 400 MWh energy storage projects

Taliva Energy has signed an agreement with Jinko ESS for a total capacity of 400 MWh within the scope of various utility-scale battery energy storage system projects being developed in Europe, particularly in Romania. The signing ceremony, held at Intersolar Europe, marked an important development that strengthens Taliva Energy’s position in the large-scale energy storage market.

Taliva Energy continues to develop integrated solutions in solar energy, energy storage, and operational services through its Türkiye, Romania and Europe-based structure. The company, which also manages SolarToday Türkiye and SolarToday Eastern Europe operations, is strengthening its focus on large-scale energy storage projects by combining its strong market experience with technology partnerships and project development capabilities. With its full-scope service approach covering product and technology selection, procurement, system integration, service, and energy management systems, Taliva aims to offer investors a one-stop solution. The strategic partnerships developed with iNOVAT and PowerKonnekt EMS further support the company’s ability to develop more efficient, competitive, and sustainable energy storage solutions.

As renewable energy capacity rapidly increases across Europe, battery energy storage systems are playing a critical role in making electricity grids more flexible, balanced, and resilient. Utility-scale energy storage projects hold strategic importance in enabling a higher share of renewable energy integration into the system, supporting security of supply, improving grid stability, and helping energy markets adapt to evolving needs.

Energy storage companies operating in Türkiye continue to offer comprehensive, state-of-the-art storage solutions not only for Türkiye’s needs in this field but also for different geographies, particularly Europe. Taliva Energy’s agreement with Jinko ESS is the latest example of this.

19 Different Battery Energy Storage Projects with a Total Capacity of 400 MWh

The agreement signed between Taliva Energy and Jinko ESS covers 19 different battery energy storage projects with a total capacity of 400 MWh. Through these projects, the aim is to contribute to grid flexibility and the increased use of renewable energy in Eastern Europe. The agreement also highlights the growing need for technically proven, scalable, and commercially strong energy storage solutions.

Bringing projects of this scale to life requires not only advanced technology, but also strong project development capabilities, regional market knowledge, reliable implementation capacity, and a long-term operational focus. Through its collaboration with Jinko ESS, Taliva Energy aims to combine high-performance battery energy storage technologies with local implementation strength and an integrated project management approach.

Commenting on the agreement, Taliva Energy CEO Mario Dalsarfati said:

“Energy storage is becoming one of the most critical areas in the energy transition of Türkiye and Europe. As Taliva Energy, we are bringing together our project management and procurement experience with Jinko ESS’s advanced battery technology and global expertise. Thanks to our service capabilities and PowerKonnekt energy management system integration, we offer investors more efficient and value-added solutions from a single point.

With the right technology selection, strong system integration, and effective energy management, we aim to minimize the payback period of power plants. In this direction, we plan to bring the 19 different projects covered by the agreement to life within 2026.”

Jinko ESS Vice President Anita Li said: “At Jinko ESS, we believe the future of energy requires both innovative technology and trusted local partnerships. The expansion of our cooperation with Taliva Energy is an important step in supporting Europe's energy transition by delivering reliable, scalable, and high-performance energy storage solutions where they are needed most.”

The signing ceremony held at Intersolar Europe demonstrated the growing momentum of the collaboration between Taliva Energy and Jinko ESS, while once again emphasizing the increasing importance of large-scale battery energy storage systems in the clean energy transition.

As a full-scope energy storage solutions provider, Taliva Energy will continue to work with leading global technology partners. With its integrated approach extending from project development and system design to implementation, operation, and long-term value creation, the company will continue developing reliable and sustainable BESS projects.
