EY-Parthenon Romania assisted SANY International for the acquisition of a 153 MW battery energy storage project
EY-Parthenon Romania provided financial due diligence and tax due diligence advisory services to SANY International (Singapore) Industrial Co. Pte. Ltd.
The transaction involved the full acquisition of Spark Terminal SRL, the developer of a standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project with an installed capacity of 153 MW, located in the Borzești area, Moldova region of Romania, from RNV Infrastructure SRL, part of the Renovatio Group.
The transaction further consolidates SANY's growing presence in Romania's renewable energy sector. SANY Group, listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, is one of the world's largest construction machinery manufacturers and invests in renewable energy assets through its Sany Renewable Energy division.
