BESCA launches operations in Romania as a cooperation platform for renewable energy investments in the Black Sea region

Black Sea Energy Cooperation Association (BESCA) begins its activity in Romania as a new association dedicated to collaboration among investors, developers, and experts involved in renewable energy projects, in a context of accelerated growth in the regional energy sector.

The association was founded on the initiative of Enexus, a company active in the development, execution, and management of renewable energy projects, and operates as an open platform for investors, project developers, technology providers, consultants, and experts in the energy sector.

"We set out to bring together Turkish investors in Romania, who are increasingly active, as well as other Romanian and international companies in the energy sector across the Black Sea region," said Mesut Güler, CEO of Enexus and President of BESCA.

"BESCA provides a structured framework that facilitates cooperation and accelerates renewable energy projects at the regional level, strengthening Romania's role as a gateway market for renewable energy in the Black Sea region."

Romania plays a central role in BESCA's mission. Access to the European Union market, grid connection possibilities, and the existence of an extensive portfolio of bankable projects make Romania a strategic point of interest for investors in the region. The initiative starts on the Romania–Turkey axis and will progressively expand to other markets in the region.

Companies, institutions, and representatives from academia active or interested in renewable energy, energy storage, grid infrastructure, and clean technologies in Romania and the Black Sea region are invited to join BESCA.
