WALDEVAR aims to redefine renewable energy standards through significant investments in emerging technologies. A central pillar of this strategy is the expansion of its specialized EPC, O&M, SCADA, BESS, and FPV divisions, with a strong focus on floating photovoltaic systems (FPV).

A flagship project is currently underway in Tunari, where the company, in partnership with global leader Sungrow FPV, is building Europe’s largest manufacturing facility for floating photovoltaic systems, spanning nearly 40,000 square meters. The investment is valued at close to €10 million, with the official opening scheduled for early 2026.

This facility will become a center of excellence for innovation in water-based photovoltaic technology, serving both the EMEA market (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) and pilot projects in “inshore” locations such as the Maldives, where marine solar parks are being developed in protected areas.

Cristian Dragomir, CEO of WALDEVAR Energy, emphasizes the company’s strategic direction:

“We are transforming to become a leader in developing integrated energy systems, combining energy production with advanced technologies. Our goal is to go beyond simply producing green energy — we are creating smart and sustainable solutions for the future. This transformation marks our shift from ‘green with risks’ to ‘smart and efficient green’ energy systems.”

With a team of over 999 employees and five international offices, WALDEVAR offers fully integrated 360° services — from electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering design to command, control, and protection systems for electrical substations. The company develops comprehensive solutions for the construction and operation of energy production facilities, actively contributing to the global energy transition.
