Gabriela Stănică Joins the Executive Committee of Carrefour Romania

Carrefour Romania announces a new member of its executive committee. Starting June 1, Gabriela Stănică, Chief Information Officer, Digital & AI, will join the executive leadership team, reinforcing the company’s strategic direction in the fields of technology, digitalization, and artificial intelligence.

With a career spanning over 20 years in IT, Gabriela Stănică joined Carrefour Romania in October 2020, being responsible for the company’s digital transformation, IT infrastructure modernization, and innovation initiatives. Under her leadership, Carrefour has accelerated automation processes in stores and back-office operations, optimized the supply chain, and launched a large-scale migration to the Cloud. Moreover, she plays a key role in the integration of the Cora network into the Carrefour ecosystem by harmonizing infrastructure and digital systems.

In her new role, Gabriela Stănică will lead artificial intelligence initiatives, contributing to the development and integration of digital solutions within Carrefour Romania. Artificial Intelligence is a strategic priority for the Carrefour Group, and in Romania, it is already being used to analyze consumer behavior, optimize assortments, and personalize experiences through the Act for Good loyalty program. The company is also testing the use of AI in multiple areas with the goal of anticipating consumer needs and adapting to market realities.
