VGP acquires 294,000 sqm site for new logistics park in Oradea

Pan-European logistics and industrial developer VGP has acquired a 294,000-square-metre plot of land in Oradea, where it plans to develop a new logistics park with approximately 133,000 sqm of leasable space in the first phase.

The project, to be developed as VGP Park Oradea, will expand the company's footprint in western Romania and adds another large-scale development to its portfolio in a region increasingly important for manufacturing and cross-border logistics.

The site is located on the outskirts of Oradea, approximately three minutes from the DEx16 express road and 15 minutes from the Borș border crossing with Hungary, according to the developer. The location also provides access to Oradea's airport and railway infrastructure.

The investment comes as Oradea continues to develop its position as a regional logistics and manufacturing centre, supported by its proximity to the Hungarian border and connections to Western European transport corridors.

The city's infrastructure has attracted both industrial and logistics investments, with its location making it relevant for companies involved in cross-border distribution, manufacturing and regional supply-chain operations.
