With over 30 years of experience, Huawei has developed and implemented end-to-end cybersecurity practices, covering the entire technological lifecycle — from research and development to product and service delivery. The company operates in more than 170 countries and has not been involved in any major cybersecurity incidents.

Globally, Huawei and its Digital Power division have obtained numerous certifications from independent accreditation bodies, including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and IEC 62443. These attest to the company’s compliance with international standards for data protection and information security.

For clients within the European Union, Huawei ensures that data is stored and accessed exclusively within the EU, through its FusionSolar IT infrastructure and operations centers located in Europe. All processes fully comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

In Romania, Huawei employs over 1,400 people, including more than 100 engineers at its European Technical Assistance Center in Bucharest. The company collaborates with over 100 local clients and partners, contributing to the development of Romania’s digital ecosystem. By organizing Digital Trust Day, Huawei reinforces its commitment to transparency, collaboration, and the continuous improvement of security standards in the digital age. Company representatives reiterated their intention to maintain open dialogue with the industry and relevant institutions to sustainably promote digital trust and data protection.
