Schneider Electric, the 10th in the Global 100 annual clean capitalism ranking

For third consecutive year, Schneider Electric has been included in the Global 100 index which gathers the most sustainable companies across the world. This year, the French-based company which has also a Romanian branch ranks tenth in the top released by Corporate Knights during the Global Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland. At the same time, Schneider Electric is the first amidst companies operating in the industry and capital goods sector, a press release states.

’Ranking this year among the top ten corporations and being on a leading position in our industry is a strong incentive for us, encouraging us to expand even further our commitments in terms of sustainability.’, Jean-Pascal Tricoire, President and CEO of Schneider Electric, commented.

Since 2005, the company has measured and published on a quarterly basis the key advances in the sustainability field through its Planet and Society Barometer which includes 14 indices in sectors such as economy, environment and society - key areas of the group’s sustainable development strategy.

The Global 100 index released by Corporate Kinghts, a Canadian magazine promoting clean capitalism, includes the best performing 100 international enterprises in terms of sustainability, based on data provided by Bloomberg and other 350 companies with the largest market capitalization worldwide.
