Industrial production prices, down by 0.4 percent in October

Industrial production prices in Romania dropped by 0.4 percent in October 2014 compared to the previous month, prices decreases being recorded both for the domestic market (-0.1 percent) and for the non-domestic market (-0.9 percent). As regards the same month in 2013, there was maintained a similar level overall, domestic market prices rising by 0.6 percent and non-domestic market prices falling by 1.1 percent, according to a release of the National Institute of Statistics (INSSE).

By main industrial groups, in October 2014, compared to September 2014, only durable consumer goods saw an increase in prices (by 0.3 percent), whilst price decreases were recorded for energy products (by 1.1 percent), intermediate goods (by 0.2 percent) and capital goods (by 0.2 percent).

As for last year, industrial production prices increased significantly in October 2014 over the corresponding month of the previous year for durable consumer goods (by 1.4 percent), non-durable consumer goods (by 1.1 percent) and energy products (by 0.1 percent). Prices for capital goods, on the other hand, declined by 1.5 percent.
