A recent press release, 
following a meeting between American Ambassador to Romania, Hans Klemm and 
Romanian Minister of Economy, Commerce and Tourism, Mihai Tudose, emphasized the 
importance of Romanian-American cooperation by publishing the relevant numbers 
with regard to foreign investments.
American investments in 
Romania amounted to around 1,361 billion USD on the 30th of June 2015. 
Compared to the same period of the previous year this number represents an 
increase of approximately 4,8 percent.
The press release showed 
that among the most important investors were the following: Honeywell, Monsanto 
Company, Lufkin Industries, The Timken Company, McDonald’s Phemus Corporation, 
(Scolopax), American Life Insurance Company, Florida Shipping Lines, Phemus 
Corporation (Romply Merops), Ford Motor Company, Global Consulting (Monolit Park 
Towers), Daniel Kendrick Roberts (Romanian International Bank), Eurofert 
Investments New Castle (Azomures), Keston Corporation (RomTel Distribution), 
International Finance Corporation (ATE Bank Romania), Romanian-American 
Enterprise Fund (Patria Credit,), Palcrom (Wisconsin Turning Systems), Căpâlnaş 
Ionel (Unimet CUG), Cross Lander USA (ARO) and Florina Liviana Roberts (Romanian 
International Bank).
The Romanian Minister and 
the American Ambassador stressed the effectiveness of the cooperation and their 
intention to continue such endeavors.
