Co-president of ALDE, Calin Popescu Tariceanu says the coalition is not functioning properly

Co-president of the ALDE coalition , Calin Popescu Tariceanu says that after the Ponta government's resignation the coalition of PSD-UNPR and ALDE is not working anymore, as each party has different positions, reports Mediafax. "I have a, let's say, uncomfortable feeling. I was somehow obliged to take an attitude alone, noting the government's resignation. Later I saw that our coalition no longer works, as each tried to find a certain position," said Tariceanu asked about relations between PSD, UNPR and ALDE. In turn, co-chairman of the ALDE Daniel Constantin said that although the Conservative Party has always been consistent in relation to PSD, recent events have changed the perspective. "At the time we speak, we are on diametrically opposed positions," said Constantin. ALDE's proposal is that former partners of the governmental coalition should work as an "alliance" in the Parliament to support the measures taken during the Ponta government. "The proposal that I will make in the alliance - because the coalition refers to the act of government - is to keep the same position in solidarity to the measures that have been taken and we do not want to see them canceled, "said Tariceanu.
